LANGHORNE – To help residents get a start on their spring cleaning and guard themselves against identity theft, Rep. Frank Farry (R-Bucks) will host a free community paper shredding event on Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside his Langhorne office, located at 370 East Maple Ave., Langhorne
“Identity theft is a real and legitimate concern for millions of Americans,” Farry said. “This is a great, free opportunity for people to protect themselves by disposing of large quantities of documents with personal information.”
Residents are encouraged to bring documents that contain sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, medical information or bank account numbers, to be thoroughly shredded. This event is for residents only, no businesses please.
Individuals are limited to two file boxes of paper to be shredded.
Also during the event, Farry’s staff will be on hand to address any state-related issues or questions. Free information on state programs and services will be available.
