Farry to Chair House Committee Hearing on Changes to 911 Emergency System

WHAT:         Rep. Frank Farry (R-Bucks), majority chairman of the Subcommittee on Security and Emergency Response, will chair the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee public hearing being held to gather input on necessary changes to the 911 Emergency Telephone Act. Among the issues to be examined are the reauthorization of wireless surcharges, which are set to expire, and needed updates to language in the law to keep pace with advancing communications technology.
