Emergency Food Boxes Available from Farry’s Office

Rep. Frank Farry (R-Bucks) today reminded residents that Emergency Food Boxes, or EBoxes, are still available in his district office at 370 East Maple Avenue, Suite 102, in Langhorne.

Farry and Philabundance are working together to provide emergency food to the needy in Lower Bucks County.  EBoxes contain shelf-stable food for three meals for a family of four to last about three days.  The boxes also include information on agencies that can help with food more regularly.  Emergency Food Boxes are available 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment.

“These are very difficult economic times.  My staff and I are happy to be able to help,” said Farry.  “In addition to providing the food boxes, we can talk to residents about state programs like LIHEAP and the Children’s Health Insurance Program that might be able to assist them on a regular basis.”

Households can receive an EBox only once because it is an emergency measure not meant to serve as a continuous source of food.  The boxes serve as an immediate help to hold a family over until Philabundance can connect them with an agency for additional assistance.

For more information about the Emergency Food Boxes, contact Farry’s office at (215) 752-6750.
