Guides for Older Pennsylvanians Available from Farry’s Office

While Pennsylvania has a number of programs to help seniors, many have no idea what services are available.  Rep. Frank Farry (R-Bucks) has a free guidebook available that outlines the benefits the state offers older Pennsylvanians.

For example, did you know seniors who give up their driver’s licenses for health reasons can receive a free replacement Pennsylvania ID?  Older Pennsylvanians also pay reduced fees to visit state parks, for hunting and fishing licenses, even for their pet dog’s license.

All this information and more is available in the Benefits and Rights for Older Pennsylvanians, a guidebook which provides seniors information on community and home-based services, transportation, caregiver support, nutritional support, and recreational activities that are discounted for seniors.

The book also includes information on your rights when confronting fraud, abuse and age discrimination and a detailed explanation of the state’s health insurance options, the best way to find a nursing home, even where to find help weatherizing your home.

To receive your free copy of Benefits and Rights for Older Pennsylvanians, or to receive help on any state matter, visit one of Farry’s district offices at 370 East Maple Avenue, Suite 102, Langhorne, phone (215) 752-6750 or in the Lower Southampton Township Complex, 1500 Desire Avenue in Feasterville, phone: (215) 942-4067.
