Farry to Host Community Paper Shredding Event on May 14
LANGHORNE – To help residents get a start on their spring cleaning and guard themselves against identity theft, Rep. Frank Farry (R-Bucks) will host a free community paper shredding event on Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside his Langhorne office, located at 370 East Maple Ave., Langhorne.

“Identity theft is a fast-growing crime with more than 15 million people in the United States reporting their identities used fraudulently each year,” Farry said. “The best defense is to safely discard personal documents. This event will help you do that.”

Residents are encouraged to bring documents that contain sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, medical information or bank account numbers, to be thoroughly shredded. This event is for residents only, no businesses please.
Individuals are limited to two file boxes of paper to be shredded.

Also during the event, Farry’s staff will be on hand to address any state-related issues or questions. Free information on state programs and services will be available.
