– Middletown Township has received a Recycling Development and Implementation Grant to reduce waste through collections, education and leaf litter pickup, says Rep. Frank Farry (R-Bucks).
“The more we know about recycling and its importance, the more our community will benefit from its positive impacts,” Farry said. “This grant will go a long way in educating our community on the different ways to reduce waste through safe and easy avenues.”
Middletown Township has received a grant of more than $130,000 to be used in a project geared towards improving and expanding recycling efforts.
“I am looking forward to Middletown Township using this great opportunity in expanding our efforts, reducing our environmental impacts and minimizing the footprint we leave,” Farry said.
Recycling Development and Implementation Grants were awarded to municipalities and counties for up to 90% of their approved recycling costs and to programs created to meet market demands of recyclables.
